To this area of use standard drums are often used, even if there in many cases would work with a thinner drum. The reason for that is that the end user often is a manufacturer of cables, and is in need of the drum after it has been emptied.
If you have a closed system it can be interesting to optimize the design due to volume and transport.
Material in profile drums can be in both wood and steel and in some cases also plywood or plastic if it`s a smaller profile.
