Baskets for Offshore

Svensson Group has started delivery of several baskets during the autumn, intended for a large sea cable project.
Each basket has been designed to handle 300 tonnes of cable. Their edge-to-edge dimension is approximately 11 metres, with a height of 4.5 metres.
The baskets have been developed in close cooperation with a customer, with high demands placed on safety and ease of use.

Svensson Group strengthens its position in the Nordic region

Svensson Group is to create a joint venture with its colleague Rustad Trommelservice in Norway, forming RS Trommelservice. The objective is to strengthen our presence on the Norwegian market. Svensson Group has long been active on this market, with sales both to the traditional cable industry and to the offshore industry.

“This collaboration will bring us closer to our customers in Norway, allowing us to improve service, reduce logistic costs and create economies of scale in production”, says Erik Johansson, Managing Director of Svensson Group.
The cable industry in the Nordic region has undergone radical change in recent years, becoming evermore specialised. Production is now targeted to a larger extent to the common Nordic market.
“As supplier of packaging, we need to have a presence on each individual market. This collaboration will strengthen our position in the Nordic region”, concludes Erik Johansson.
